My Practice At A Glance:
I have a Masters Degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies where I studied Western, Eastern, and Alternative (old and new) approaches to psychology and the healing of the psyche.
My training emphasizes the importance of integrating the whole self: body, mind, spirit and soul. This approach allows for the healing of deep emotional fractures from our experiences in life. In our complex modern world there are numerous pressures on us all to perform or to "just deal with it." This may work short term however long term results are poor. Our lives slowly unwind into loneliness and chaos that we can no longer control without making positive changes aligned with our values and priorities. I use a mind and body approach to psychotherapy based on the needs of the client to help them through this process of recognizing the path to a more positive future.
With my expertise, encouragement, and support you can learn to manage those of your life you find lacking or that create other problems. It can be areas of trauma, disappointment, shame and guilt, difficult family relationships, decisions about career and relationships, depression and anxiety and integration of alternative and creative approaches to life's problems. Together we can develop skills and new life patterns to address even the most difficult of problems.
Some specialties that I also have experience with and enjoy working with are people with gender or identity issues, creative makers of crafts, those who work in the social media field, and those in performance arts.
